On Wednesday the 15th of October, all across Australia, people will be riding to work.

Some will be regular commuters, but many will be riding to work for the first time.
Here at UNSW, we’re trying to organise as many students and staff to ride to uni as possible. The more people ride to uni, the less clog up the roads in cars and buses, polluting the atmosphere and accelerating dangerous climate change. Also, riding a bike is great for your health!
Make sure you ride safe: visit our bike safety page.
Events at UNSW
8:15am: A Bike Bus, led by an experienced cyclist, will be leaving the bus stop at Eddy Ave (contact craig@student.unsw.edu.au if you’d like to join it).
8:30am-11am: We’ll be putting on a free breakfast on the Quadrangle Lawn, for everyone who rides their bike to uni.
12pm-2pm: Our regular bike repair workshop will also be happening, on the Quadrangle Lawn.

Register!
If your school’s not listed, please register as a workplace co-ordinator (click here) for your school (e.g. psychology, BABS, history), so that you can speak to the students and staff in that school, and encourage them to register.
You’ll go in the draw to win an awesome holiday, and they’ll send you a promotion pack to help advertise Ride to Work Day.
If you’re signing up as a workplace co-ordinator, please email me your team code and which school you’re a part of (my email is christophermoore@gmail.com).
If your school already has a co-ordinator, note the team code and register as a participant in Ride to Work Day (click here)
Also, if you’re travelling through the CBD you should stop off at Hyde Park South, where there will be free breakfast, competitions and giveaways from 7am-9am (for more info visit www.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au).
